I provide integrative psychotherapy in Twickenham and Surbiton to help people tackle their problems and move forward in life. I aim to establish a safe and supportive environment for my clients so they feel comfortable embarking on a journey with me to overcome their struggles with my ongoing support. I can help individuals deal with conditions such as anxiety, depression, stress, low mood and low self-esteem, as well as assist them in dealing with transitional periods such as job loss, bereavement, illness diagnoses or loss of a spouse.

As a trained psychotherapist offering integrative psychotherapy, counselling, and CBT in Surbiton, I carefully tailor my approach to each client. I accurately assess their individual needs so we can work together to create a treatment plan that effectively addresses their concerns.

The treatments involve exploring how your past experiences and relationships influence your way of being in life, as well as your choices, values, beliefs, and relationships with others in the present. By assessing thought patterns and behaviours throughout your life, we can understand how these may be impacting you and how we can reframe your thoughts and actions using coping mechanisms.

My therapeutic aim in our work together is to appropriately and sensitively revisit and process earlier traumas and life experiences, which can lead to more creative ways of living your life and to resolve any unhelpful or dysfunctional patterns. In turn, this will allow you to find more effective ways to manage life's inevitable stress and pain.

Whether through integrative psychotherapy, counselling, or CBT in Twickenham or Surbiton, your desired outcomes are central to the therapy. The journey is different for everyone dependent on what is stopping individuals from achieving their goals and their understanding of their experiences on both a conscious and unconscious level. By reducing maladaptive strategies and employing better ones, you will gain greater control of your life, ultimately leading to the alleviation of symptoms, the development of a sense of self, and the removal of internal barriers to leading the life you want.

Is my approach right for you?

Finding a therapist who is relationally a good fit is very important. Consider the following to help you decide if I am the right therapist for you at this point in your life.

Probably, if you…

  • Need a safe space where you can explore your past, your present, and your future.

  • Are seeking open-ended therapy where you decide when it is the right time to end.

  • Want to explore your interpersonal relationships in depth.

  • Are up for exploring deep-rooted issues that might stem from your childhood

  • Are curious about how you operate and what makes you “tick".

Possibly not, if you…

  • Want a structured, solution-focused approach.

  • Are looking for someone to give you “homework”.

  • Prefer coping strategies as opposed to dealing with the root of the problem.

  • Are seeking short-term therapy (6-12 sessions).

  • Are not interested in thinking about yourself as a whole and prefer to focus on a set of symptoms.
